We started this boutique strategic consultancy after realizing our time in the corporate world left us wanting more.
Our Story & Why
While working in corporate, we noticed a troubling trend: clients often felt tied down and dependent on their agencies. It was common for agencies or developers to hold the keys to everything, guarding their tactics so clients would remain reliant on them for success. It was also impossible to work with the agency unless you had a six figure (or more) budget - leaving startups, small businesses and non-profits without an invitation to the table.
We wanted to change that.
In 2008, our Co-Founder, Elizabeth Mead, set out to challenge the typical agency model. What started as small freelance operation with a single big hotel brand as our first client, has now grown into a boutique agency serving clients all over the world. At Tandem, learning is key and clients are in control. Our clients stay with us because they want to, not because they have to.
